realit check

Reality Check is an interactive prevention experience for high school students. The five lessons are most frequently taught through health classes, but can be integrated into other classes as well. The classes can be taught in a week-long series or as stand-alone lessons. Based on research, the five Reality Check lessons are effective in teaching students to become more media-savvy and clarifying their misperceptions about teen and college drinking norms. In addition, students learn to better recognize and understand stress in their lives, consider and discuss tolerance and stereo-typing, and examine some of their own attitudes, values, and behaviors related to alcohol and other drug use. Reality Check has a brief evaluation form to help measure what each student has learned from the experience
