ParentNet Presents
ParentNet Presents is a series of panel discussions that address
different issues that are of interest to parents and caregivers
of young people. Some recent topics include Transitions, Teen
Alcohol and Drug Use, and Recognizing Red Flags. The panels
bring together a variety of local people that represent different
sectors of our community. Panels have included drug and alcohol
specialists, local parents who have had experiences with their
own children struggling with drug abuse, Poudre School district
counselors and staff from Colorado State University. The panels
provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to interact
with a variety of specialists on an assortment of topics. It’s
an opportunity to learn about and discuss current information
on the teenage brain, trends in what our Fort Collins teens
are exposed to as far as the local party scene goes, communication,
and what to do when you did everything right, and your child
still makes bad choices.
