Social Norms Project at CSU
This project serves first year college students at Colorado State
University, who are at increased risk for high-risk alcohol use. This
project has two primary goals :
Goal One: To reduce underage and high-risk drinking among first-year
students at Colorado State University.
Goal Two: To increase community-based prevention efforts impacting alcohol
use among underage and high-risk college students.
These are not mutually exclusive goals, and the success of the first goal is
highly dependent on the implementation of activities under the second goal.
The intended outcomes of the goals are:
Outcome One: By Spring 2009, CSU will experience a 5% decrease in high-risk
drinking among first year college students involved in project activities as
measured by the Fort Collins Social Norms Survey.
Outcome Two: By Spring 2009, CSU and its community collaborators will have
a developed and implemented evidenced-based community and campus-based
strategies to prevent underage and high-risk drinking among college students
in the Fort Collins community. |
